Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf’s Donation to Charles County Children’s Aid Society

At Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf we love our loyal community and want to do our part in helping those in need in the Waldorf, Maryland area. At the end of each year, we choose a non-profit or charity in our area to donate money to as part of the Sheehy Auto Stores’ Annual Giving Campaign. This year we donated $5,000 to the Charles County Children’s Aid Society to help support children and families going through tough times in Charles County, Maryland.

Charles County Children’s Aid Society or CCCAS is a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families in Charles County, Maryland so the children have a chance to grow, thrive and succeed in life. CCCAS has been around for 85 years and was started by a group of women who realized that some of their neighbors were struggling to feed and clothe their children during the Great Depression. To ensure the basic needs of these families and children were met these women formed the Charles County Children’s Aid Society. Throughout the years CCCAS and their responsibilities and programs have evolved to meet the needs of their community and today they offer programs to help with school supplies for students, assistance for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas and providing food, clothes and other household items. This amazing organization was created during one of the hardest financial downfalls our country has ever experienced, miraculously survived through it all and has continued to thrive for 85 years. We are so honored to be able to help this organization continue it’s amazing work.
